Interfaith Finance Community of Practice
Vision
To catalyze a bold, nationwide movement where religious congregations and spiritual groups of all backgrounds are empowered and inspired to take collective action, harnessing their moral and financial resources to build equitable, resilient, and sustainable communities.
Mission
The Interfaith Finance Community of Practice (IFCoP) is dedicated to building the capacity for profound cross-cultural and interfaith collaboration. We convene, educate, and equip faith-based leaders and their community partners across Canada. Through practical programming and shared learning, we advance community economic development, community finance, sustainable finance, and impact investing as powerful expressions of shared ethical values
The Imperative
Faith communities are foundational pillars of social fabric, trusted stewards of capital, and anchors of moral vision. In a time of pressing social and ecological challenges, there exists an unprecedented opportunity to align this collective spiritual capital with tangible action. The IFCoP exists to unlock this potential, transforming inspired values into impactful, sustainable financial practices that benefit all.
Our Theory of Change
By creating a structured, supportive, and knowledgeable community of practice, we bridge gaps in understanding and capacity. We translate shared ethical principles—such as stewardship, justice, and compassion—into practical financial strategies. This enables diverse congregations to move from isolated intention to collaborative, high-impact execution.
